There are reasons why economics is referred to as the ‘dismal science’. Any field that believes, in all honesty, that growth can keep going forever on a tiny planet of limited resources, clearly has major issues relating to competence, credibility and downright common sense. Furthermore, it is no more a science than astrology or wizardry.
