I appreciate this but I am concerned that we're still operating in an apolitical/ahistorical perspective here. You say, "And the only way we are going to get it, is if the scales can be made to fall from people’s eyes." You must embrace the possibility that the scales can fall from people's eyes and then we WON'T get any meaningful policy change. There are interests in politics that are much more powerful than the interests of The People--one of those interests is oil, another is capital, etc. No matter how much The People want something, they're not guaranteed to get it within a global governance system that is carefully designed to keep power out of The People's hands and in the hands of people who represent inhuman, and anti-human interests, like oil.
